There’s a place for you here at Belington First Church of the Nazarene and you are invited to be part of our community built on God’s love. You are loved and we want you to come just as you are.

Your First Visit

What a joy it is to introduce you to our church.

You’ll discover that our passion is to provide a place where people just like you can have a life-changing experience with God.

At Belington First Church of the Nazarene, our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey. We are a life-giving, multicultural church in Barbour County, West Virginia and our goal is to infuse life and God’s love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship services that offer biblical truth in relevant and practical ways.

Together, we’re striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there’s relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we’d like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time.

So, if you are still just checking out the “church scene” and investigating the claims of Jesus Christ, thank you for allowing us to help you in your search.  Or, if you are a committed Christ-follower who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at Belington Church of the Nazarene.

We invite you to visit one of our Sunday Services beginning at 10:40am.

Making Your First Visit?

We would be so glad if you decide to visit us! You’ll find a list of commonly asked questions below. Please don’t hesitate to send us a message or give us a call at (304) 591-6762 to let us know you’re coming!

How do I get there?

Belington First Church of the Nazarene is located on the west side of town at 76 Hoff St. Hoff St runs directly off Brown Avenue on the right as you head towards Audra State Park. You can find detailed schedule information and directions at the bottom of this page.

Where should I park?

Our car park is located between the Sanctuary and the Fellowship Hall with access from Hoff St. Ample parking is usually available but on street parking is available if needed. All our facilities are located close to the parking area but it can be a good idea to bring your umbrella for the way in if it’s raining!

What should I wear?

Belington First Church of the Nazarene has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up and some dressed casually. We have no expectations for attire.

Are my kids safe?

We are serious about creating a safe environment for God’s family and we implement the Nazarene Safe program to protect everyone and especially those who are most vulnerable

All children check-in using a secure system. The check-in process is quick and easy, and you’re given a secure code where only you can pick them up. In addition, all teachers and caregivers undergo a thorough background check before they’re allowed to serve with children.

Of course, you’re welcome to bring your kids to worship with you (but they’ll probably enjoy our age-level ministries much more!).

Your kids are safe at Belington First Church of the Nazarene.

What is a Sunday service like?
